160 Front Street West
Client: Cadillac Fairview
With: Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, B+H Architects
Completion: In Progress
Quinn Design Associates is providing landscape architectural services for this 54-storey tower in Toronto’s central core. This sculptural office building for Cadillac Fairview, designed by Chicago-based Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, will be the third tallest office building in the city.
Our streetscape design incorporates organic sculptural metal columns that will be planted with vines and are located where underground utilities prevent the use of street trees. Our design incorporates hardy plant material in a streamlined contemporary aesthetic, and native shade trees. In order to animate the space around the building and to respond to the City’s initiative for Privately Owned Public Spaces (POPS), our design accommodates areas for seating and an outdoor café. Our dynamic paving pattern in natural granite will further energize the streetscape and reflect the building’s geometry and detailing.
Our documents for the project were produced fully in Revit, and include 3D studies, design sketches, and Site Plan Approval documents.
