Located in midtown Toronto, this high-rise rental apartment building is part of a complex built in the 1960s. Our firm was retained to provide a complete redesign of the original landscape to accommodate vehicular use, improve pedestrian access, and provide a new water feature and planting.
Following consultations with our client, project stakeholders, and tenants, we created a welcoming and attractive garden-like space that met our client’s budget and maintenance requirements. The driveway and pedestrian pathway feature a contemporary pattern of pavers that, together with lush, green plantings, provide a pleasing, accessible, and convenient arrival experience for residents. We accommodated our client’s stone sculpture in a fountain we designed with polished granite surfaces and a seat wall. The calming presence of this water feature has become a unique focal point for the property.
