Toronto Montessori Schools (TMS) is a not-for-proft independent school with two campuses in Richmond Hill and students ranging in age from 18 months to 18 years. The TMS Lower School Campus at Bayview Avenue delivers a seamless educational experience for students through to Grade 6, challenging them to discover the best of who they are and to achieve their full potential.
Quinn provided complete landscape architectural services as part of Farrow Partners’ design for expansion of the existing building. The landscape design features a new entrance plaza that is a comfortable and safe arrival and gathering space with socialization opportunities for students and the school community. The design includes seating and extensive planting with a variety of native and adaptive ornamental species. As part of the concept to provide an access road alongside the adjacent Doncrest Valley conservation area, Quinn developed a planting scheme to provide additional trees in coordination with Toronto Region
Conservation Authority requirements.
